I’m excited to be participating in my blogging friend Marcia’s monthly linkup, Runfessions.
What is a runfession, you ask? It’s a chance to spill all your running/swimming/cycling/fitnessing dirt. An opportunity to cleanse your soul by confessing to the fitness gods, if you will.

I’m doing some research that is going to allow me to produce better blog posts and share more relevant topics on social media. I mean, I know what I like to write about, and I know what I THINK you need, but who better to tell me what you need than YOU!

Now onto the runfessions….this is going to feel good.
1. I have been out of “race training” mode for 5 days and I’m debating signing up for a marathon early next year.
I keep talking about how excited I am to be in my off-season now and to focus on my strength training and getting all beefy and stuff this winter, but secretly I have been thinking of continuing the running through the winter and finding a marathon to run early next year. Guess it’s not really a secret now 😉 No promises though!
2. I haven’t been for a swim since August 13.
Oops. I had planned on keeping up with my swimming through the fall and winter so it wouldn’t be as awful when I get back into it next year like it was this year. But when there’s no impending triathlon and no fear of drowning in the ocean, I really can’t find the motivation to drag myself to an icky public pool.
3. I’m torn between my desire to continue running and cycling long distances through the winter and my desire to get jacked and grow my booty.
See how indecisive I am? Like 3 minutes ago I wrote about how I want to run a marathon. Now I just want to train my butt.
4. I like to watch other people at the gym.
Not in a creepy “I like the way you move” kind of way. But in a “I’m intrigued by the way you move” kind of way. I enjoy watching peoples’ different movement patterns, especially the regulars at the gym because I can watch how they progress (or don’t). I’m never “that person” that offers unsolicited advice and sometimes I’m just genuinely interested in what people are doing, but I really hope my casual glances are never creepy and obvious.
5. I occasionally drink pre-workout before cleaning my apartment.
I’d like to set the record straight in that I don’t use C4 or anything scary like that anymore. I use Vega’s Sugar-Free Energizer which is basically just like nice-flavoured coffee, so that’s totally an okay thing to do. At least that’s what I tell myself.
